Mokume gane is an ancient Japanese technique of fusing layers of different metal, then deforming the layers to create patterns similar to wood-grain. Stamping is the easiest, most direct patterning method. Each student in this one-day class will create their own stamp-patterned mokume gane bracelet. We’ll also cover important technical information on how to anneal, form, finish and patinate without harming the layers. Material fee varies depending on which material you choose - copper/brass, copper/silver/brass, etc. Great beginner level class, but advanced and repeat students welcome.
