This Year We Have Some Amazing Presenters!!

Anne Wolf - Mokume Gane

The traditional Japanese way of patterning mokume gane - with a chisel on pitch. Watch as rivers of pattern are carved into the mokume gane blank, then forged/rolled back flat to lock the pattern into the metal. Anne will also demonstrate an exciting traditional Japanese patina with a modern twist - hido. Get ready for some serious copper reds!

Chris Brooks - Silver Clay earrings

Would you like to wrap-up Christmas in a Silver Package?

Chris will be demonstrating a one day Silver Clay Earring Project that is fun, easy and eye catching. Come and see what you can do when you combine sheet and lump clay using a few simple tools.

Ruth Shapiro - Non-traditional patinas
Learn an easy way to recreate traditional metal patinas using nontraditional materials. This method is quick, color specific, and much more durable and predictable than previous methods. Other tips and tricks will be shared!

Brad Smith - Textured surfaces

Add depth, complexity and elegance to your designs. We all have our favorites, but this session is bound to turn up a few new techniques. We'll review a couple dozen, some for adding texture in specific areas and some for doing broad sheets. Often only simple tools are all that is needed while with other techniques you will need some additional equipment like a hammer hand piece or a rolling mill.

Marne Ryan - Stepped bezels

Step up your stone setting game! Watch as Marne demonstrates how to fabricate as stepped bezel from scratch, adding more depth an interest to set pieces.
